About B7-33

B7-33 is a simplified, single-chain version of the hormone relaxin-2, designed to keep relaxin’s anti-fibrotic effects while being easier to make. In mouse models of lung and heart fibrosis it reduced collagen deposition.

B7-33 calculator questions

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 5 mg B7-33 vial?

The calculator does not prescribe a volume; the right choice depends on how large you want each draw to be. As arithmetic: 5 mg in 2 mL gives 2.5 mg/mL, so each unit on a U-100 syringe holds 25 mcg. Use the “Water to add” tab to work backwards from a draw size.

What concentration does B7-33 have after reconstitution?

Concentration is the vial mass divided by the water volume. For example, 5 mg in 2 mL is 2.5 mg/mL. Check the certificate of analysis for net peptide content, which is usually lower than the label.
