Editorial policy
Every profile follows the same rules: primary sources, an explicit evidence rating, dated review, and clear separation between what was found and what is hypothesized.
Sources
We cite peer-reviewed journal articles, clinical trial registries, regulator documents and systematic reviews. Where a result has only been announced by a company, we say so and cite the announcement. We do not cite supplier websites, forums or social media as evidence.
Evidence ratings
| Label | Criteria |
|---|---|
| Approved medicine | Approved by the FDA or another major regulator for at least one indication. |
| Human RCTs | Randomized, controlled trials in people, but not approved for the use described. |
| Early human data | Small, uncontrolled or single-site human studies, case series or pharmacology studies. |
| Animal studies | Findings come mainly from rodent or other animal models. |
| Cell studies | Findings come mainly from cell culture or biochemical assays. |
The label reflects the strongest evidence that exists for any use. An approved medicine is labelled “Approved” even when a profile also discusses unapproved uses; the text makes the distinction.
Writing rules
- State the population, design and size of a study before its result.
- Report effect sizes with their comparator (for example, “−14.9% versus −2.4% with placebo”).
- Do not describe animal or cell findings as effects in people.
- Do not give doses, routes or schedules for human use. Where an approved product’s trial used a specific dose, we name it only to identify the trial arm.
Review and updates
Each page shows its last review date. We re-review profiles when major trials are published or regulators act. Regulatory status for research peptides changed substantially in 2026; we note dates explicitly so readers can judge currency.
Corrections
If you find an error, email ts@peptidefederation.org with the page and a source. We correct factual errors promptly and note substantive corrections on the page.
Independence
We accept no payment, samples or affiliate commissions from manufacturers or suppliers of the compounds we cover.
