About Semaglutide

Semaglutide is a long-acting GLP-1 receptor agonist approved for type 2 diabetes, chronic weight management and cardiovascular risk reduction. In the STEP 1 trial, adults without diabetes lost an average of 14.9% of body weight over 68 weeks on the 2.4 mg weekly dose, compared with 2.4% on placebo.

Semaglutide calculator questions

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 5 mg Semaglutide vial?

The calculator does not prescribe a volume; the right choice depends on how large you want each draw to be. As arithmetic: 5 mg in 2 mL gives 2.5 mg/mL, so each unit on a U-100 syringe holds 25 mcg. Use the “Water to add” tab to work backwards from a draw size.

What concentration does Semaglutide have after reconstitution?

Concentration is the vial mass divided by the water volume. For example, 5 mg in 2 mL is 2.5 mg/mL. Check the certificate of analysis for net peptide content, which is usually lower than the label.
