About Tesamorelin

Tesamorelin is a stabilized form of growth-hormone-releasing hormone. It is the only GHRH analog currently approved in the US, for reducing visceral abdominal fat in people with HIV-associated lipodystrophy, and it has also been studied for fatty liver disease in that population.

Tesamorelin calculator questions

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 5 mg Tesamorelin vial?

The calculator does not prescribe a volume; the right choice depends on how large you want each draw to be. As arithmetic: 5 mg in 2 mL gives 2.5 mg/mL, so each unit on a U-100 syringe holds 25 mcg. Use the “Water to add” tab to work backwards from a draw size.

What concentration does Tesamorelin have after reconstitution?

Concentration is the vial mass divided by the water volume. For example, 5 mg in 2 mL is 2.5 mg/mL. Check the certificate of analysis for net peptide content, which is usually lower than the label.
