About Triptorelin

Triptorelin is a long-acting GnRH agonist. After an initial surge in LH and testosterone, continuous exposure desensitizes the pituitary and suppresses sex hormones to castrate levels, which is how it treats prostate cancer and early puberty. In IVF it is also used as a single trigger dose.

Triptorelin calculator questions

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 2 mg Triptorelin vial?

The calculator does not prescribe a volume; the right choice depends on how large you want each draw to be. As arithmetic: 2 mg in 2 mL gives 1 mg/mL, so each unit on a U-100 syringe holds 10 mcg. Use the “Water to add” tab to work backwards from a draw size.

What concentration does Triptorelin have after reconstitution?

Concentration is the vial mass divided by the water volume. For example, 2 mg in 2 mL is 1 mg/mL. Check the certificate of analysis for net peptide content, which is usually lower than the label.
